Willowshade had left the meeting and was padding around in the moonlight thinking. I am the only official medicine cat in the clans... I hope Echoshatter is chosen, she has so much hope and a great future I can just tell... He padded next to a giant bolder and looked up.
"Starclan, please let her into your heart, I know she will do good, I'm afraid to do this alone..." he whispered.
"You are never alone Willowshade, we are always here..."
"What about Echoshatter? Are you going to accept her?" he asked with worry.
"If is meant to be, then it shall be, we will know soon enough."
"What do you mean we will know soon enough?! Shouldn't you already know? Why cant you just tell me? Why cant you give me someone to work with? I don't want to be alone!"
"We are always here... We are always here... Always..."
Suddenly he saw a glowing light above the bolder, he went to see what it was. When he got to the top he saw there was a giant ditch full of darkness in front of him. What was the light I saw? he thought. Then the glow came back, it pulsed in the middle of the ditch. He felt it pulling him towards it so he slowly climbed down to the glowing. He thought he would be padding forever, the ditch seemed so deep and big and dark, but the bottom was only a few foxtails away. The bottom evened out into smooth flat ground, like ice, and there was a ledge above him, that was jutting out from the side of the ditch. The glowing was coming from a large rock in the middle under the ditch surrounded by four dips int the ground. He went and looked at each of the dips. In the first dip he could see leaves through the shining ice, and the dip was all a dark green, they were ivy leaves. In the second dip, it was brown and he could see dirt and twigs though the ice. In the third dip, it was red and when he got close to it he got very hot. In the last one, that was just perfectly clear, but when he got near it chilled him to the bone, he felt the cold reach in his soul. This dip was calling to him.
He mewed softly, "Ivyclan, Earthclan, Fireclan, and Iceclan... They are all here..."
He lie down and gazed at the glowing stone in front of him, he fit perfectly in the dip just so when he was all the way down, his nose touched the glowing stone. He awoke in a starry place full of starry cats. He was speechless.
"We told you we are always here with you. We are with all of the clans. medicine cats have the strongest connection, and especially here at the Moonrock." One of the cats said.
"Because it glows like the moon!" Willowshade blurted out.
"That's right. You and the other medicine cats, when they are found, will come here after the gathering at Fourpines, and at half moon. You must gather up supplies to make sure you have them when you need them." Said the same cat. He was bright white and had one blue eye and one green eye.
"Who are you?" Willowshade asked.
"I am Icestar. The first leader of Iceclan." meowed Icestar.
"What happened to all the cats? Why did you all go away?" he asked.
"All will be revealed in time." Icestar chuckled.
"I don't want to wait! What about Echoshatter?" he meowed gettiing frustrated.
"All will be revealed in time, don't worry Willowshade, when you need to know, we will tell you."
Willowshade wanted to protest but he woke up in his delightfully cold, clear dip. He didn't have time to be mad at Starclan, the had their ways, Icestar was right, when he needed to know then he would tell him, Willowshade trusted him. But right now I need to get some herbs and get home! he thought. He bounded out of the ditch and away from the rock, towards his home.
(by the way the shinning ice isnt ice, its really smooth rock, like a crystal cave. but the cats dont know that.)
